Forest Hill residents have reported some alledged dumping of Japanese knotweed (see the thread here: http://www.se23.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=5312). Japanese knotweed is so virulent that it has be dipsosed of in the proper fashion, and dumping it on derelict site doesn’t count.

It could well be that the old sorting office site is just being used as a staging post, but in any event, it would be good to know and reassure any local residents worried about contamination. So. if you have information about what’s going on and could reassure residents, please get in touch with us or post on the se23.com forum mentioned above.
