Library doors out of use 6 February 2010

Forest Hill Library’s front doors have been out of use for a few weeks now. It’s because the new steps up to the door have been found to be loose and so judged to be too dangerous. This is a couple of years after they were built as part of the library’s £1m refurb.

The contractors have apparently been to fix them but the concrete they put in didn’t set properly. Library staff have been chasing for a fix and I’ve added my pennies worth: in the meantime you can get into the library during normal opening hours through the accessible entrance at the back.
